KONG

The KONG story began with Joe Markham and his dog Fritz. Fritz was a lively dog who loved to carry and chew stones, branches and other objects harmful to teeth and health. One day, Joe was fixing his truck and threw away a rubber spare part. Fritz happily picked it up and chewed on it, and no matter how many times Joe threw it away, the dog brought it back. And so the famous KONG rubber dog toy was born.

In the 1980s, KONG began gaining recognition, first at small fairs and exhibitions, then in shops. From one size of the plain red KONG, four more emerged, and then came the black, more durable KONG.

In the 1990s, the company expanded its team and products, many of which, such as ZoomGroom and Dental toys, we still know and use today. From there, the success story only grew, and so this famous red toy is now played with by dogs in more than 80 countries worldwide!
